Athlete Rehab & Sports Injury Prevention

Providing acute and chronic injury rehab in the South Bay of Los Angeles!

Rehab smarter. Move better. Play Longer

Whether you are dealing with a current injury, a nagging issue that keeps returning, or you simply want to stay ahead of pain before it starts, this is where we begin.

At Beth Drayer Movement, athlete rehab and sports injury prevention is not just about treating the sore body part. It is about understanding how your whole body is functioning, what it is protecting against, and what it needs to feel safe enough to move well again.

If you are an athlete, weekend warrior or active adult who wants to perform at a high level without constantly managing pain, this is for you.

Rehab that looks beyond the injury

Athletes are told the same things over and over:

  • stretch more

  • strengthen your glutes

  • roll out

  • rest and see how it feels

Sometimes those things help. Many times they don’t!

That is because two people can have the same diagnosis or the same pain location and need completely different treatment approaches.

Your shoulder pain may not just be a shoulder issue.
Your hamstring tightness may not just be a flexibility issue.
Your recurring ankle sprain may not just be about the ankle.

This is why assessment matters.

My approach looks at how your body is actually moving, compensating, protecting, and adapting under the surface so we can build a plan that makes sense for YOU.

Ready to get back to training with more confidence?

Whether you are currently injured, coming back from a setback, or trying to stay ahead of the next one, athlete rehab and sports injury prevention starts with the right assessment.

FAQs

  • Nope!. Many athletes/clients come in because they feel tight or restricted, and want to reduce the risk of injury from happening. Prevention work is a great fit here.

  • Not at all! I do work with competitive athletes, recreational athletes and youth athletes. But also with active adults who want to keep doing the things they love!

  • I have experience working with athletes across a variety of sports ranging from; volleyball, tennis, football, soccer, basketball, softball, swimming, running, triathletes just to name a few!

  • That is very common. Sometimes the issue is not that you did the wrong exercises. It is that the deeper pattern driving the problem was never fully addressed. This is what we do here, and why I get results.

  • First, we go through your entire history, I want to know every injury/surgery/pain you have had.

Next, I have you move through a few different movements and patterns to see how you move and where you may have some restrictions.

Then I move you through some ranges of motion.

Finally I start the LTAP, which is the Location Test Assessment Protocol which helps me identify where you may have a protection pattern that may be affecting your movement patterns.
