Post Surgical Performance Care
Taking you from Physical Therapy Discharged all the way back to full particiapation of your favorite South Bay activities.
If you have been discharged from your insurance covered PT…..I’ll take you the rest of the way!
Usually you are discharged from traditional Physical Therapy when you are deemed 80%. This isn’t your Physical Therapists decision, it’s what the insurance company decides….don’t even get me started here.
But you deserve BETTER. There is no reason you shouldn’t get back to your 100% so you can enjoy the activities that you love!
Do you feel like you just aren’t ready to do the things you were doing before you had surgery? Do you have fear of getting injured again? Totally understandable! This is your body trying to protect itself! But you can also teach it to feel safe again! Let me help you with that!

This is where you teach your body do trust itself again! You have been through a lot whether is was “just” a clean up of a joint or a total replacement, your brain and body need to feel safe, this is where you learn that!

Unfortunately in the traditional insurance physical therapy setting you are many times discharged before you are completely ready to go back to full activity! Or told that you just need to keep walking. Well this may not provide you and your body enough to truly strengthen and be prepared for the type of forces that you need for your activites! These are the things we’ll focus on together to get you back to full activity.

This is a great question! My guide is usually the type of pain. You never want sharp (knife like) pain. Dull/achy/tired feelings are usually ok and are a bit expected depending on where you are in your rehab journey.
